Quote of the Day

The other evening we were having a discussion on the stresses of one's occupation at this time of year i.e. holidays and/or wintery weather. R was regaling us with the perils of maneuvering a semi in farm lanes where the owner does not grasp the importance of clearing the driveway of snow. It seems to be particularly problematic for those of the religious sects that use horse-drawn transportation. They often fail to grasp the importance of clearing the snow, and that semis require more than a buggy path to maneuver into position for unloading.  Referring to inadequate plowing, someone quipped "I told the horse to drag his feet." That bit of humor made my day!
